I guess I didn't get the joke/allusion... but I've had the idea for quite some time to swap slogans between election posters from different parties.

I don't think there's much of a joke. The candidate just looks like Count from Sesame Street.

Yes, that would definitely help. I can't help but look guilty when I do things like that but a drink or two dissolves the inhibitions!

Have ye checked that site out lately? all the good commentators seem to have gone. I've been taunting him on slugger about the tumbleweed blowing through his site. The ham shanker!

I put it up ages ago. I thought it was funny at the time but the more I see it there the more I think I should take it down.

I actually haven't been over there in ages. The commenters make that site though. The actual posts are self-indulgent tosh on a good day and racist/sectarian bile on a bad one.

I've not been around much lately so I haven't been over. I know DV was having a poll to see if people preferred the Squarespace platform to the Typepad one, YAWN! :)

Yes. Quite a bit of brown-nosing followed even if all the regulars didn't join in!

My excuse is I'm finished college and working a lot more hours. Also the weather is getting really nice and I'm getting out in the evenings a lot more.
